Category Manager Indirect – IT

Key tasks:

• Analysis of markets for the IT purchasing category (including economic and financial), supply, price trends and searching for opportunities to reduce costs, as well as risk management to the extent necessary to prepare and achieve budget goals in the entrusted area of the IT purchasing category in various time horizons (1 -3-5-10 years),
• Defining, designing, developing and implementing, and then implementing purchasing strategies for IT purchasing categories in order to increase EMP’s competitive advantage on the market,
• Effective budget management of IT purchasing categories as part of indirect purchasing,
• Building stable and effective relationships with business partners and suppliers, their evaluation, selection and development. Attention to continuous improvement, quality improvement and cost effectiveness of the provided IT goods and services. Monitoring KPIs and maintaining up-to-date and complete supplier scorecards,
• Supervising processes and purchasing procedures for the IT category in accordance with the Company’s Purchasing Policy and other procedures in force in the Company.

Required experience and qualifications:

• Minimum 7 years in  Procurement, within Indirect Materials – IT,  related experience in international environment, 
• Minimum 3 years of experience in managing a team of buyers,
• Knowledge of purchasing  best practices, strategic sourcing, inventory management, and purchasing systems,
• Advanced and proven knowledge of indirect categories’ cost structures and drivers
• Excellent negotiation skills through the use of industry facts and data,
• Positive attitude – goes extra mile, committed, willing to take on challenges and has a “can do” mindset,
