The Working Group is a platform established as part of the implementation of the findings of the 2023 meeting between Presidents Andrzej Duda and Xi Jinping. Its task is to strengthen economic contacts between Poland and China, with an emphasis on investment development and creating space for cooperation between companies from both countries.

Presentation of the EMP project

During the meeting, the production and development hub project being developed by ElectroMobility Poland was presented. Representatives of the company stressed that its goal is to create a scalable industrial infrastructure that can be used in the future to implement various projects in the electromobility sector.

– Projects of this scale and scope require not only investment, but also properly coordinated cooperation between the public and private sectors, said Lukasz Maliczenko, vice president of ElectroMobility Poland. – The production and development hub in Jaworzno is in line with the assumptions of economic policy aimed at industrial specialization and development of new technologies in the automotive sector.

Context of cooperation

The EMP project was presented as an example of a venture in line with the principles of the Polish-Chinese economic dialogue. It assumes cooperation based on long-term relations and mutual benefits, including in the context of technology transfer, localization of production and development of supplier facilities. The meeting in Beijing was part of broader activities undertaken by the Polish and Chinese sides as part of the implementation of the presidential arrangements, and the result of cooperation between government institutions, diplomatic representations and the industrial sector. The participation of ElectroMobility Poland representatives in the talks exemplifies the inclusion of infrastructure and industrial projects in international activities aimed at building long-term investment partnerships.
