From 35 to 120 kW of mobile energy. The vehicle can receive and deliver energy to the home in various operating scenarios.
The grid acts as a 'backup source' – when there is a lack of sunlight or energy in the car/battery, the home draws power from the grid. Excess energy can be sold by the home.
Panels are the primary energy source – during the day they produce electricity for the home, car, and battery. When production exceeds needs, energy charges the car's battery or home energy storage.
The energy storage unit collects surplus electricity from the panels – supplying the home when solar production decreases. Additionally, the car can replace or supplement the energy storage unit.
Utilizing bidirectional charging optimizes energy consumption. The energy stored in an EV can power a home during peak hours, reducing monthly electricity bills and helping to offset grid shortages.
In case of a power outage, the electric vehicle supplies power to the home. Excess stored energy can be sold back to the grid, supplementing energy shortages.
Charging the EV with energy from your own PV panels maximizes self-consumption. Storing surplus energy in the vehicle avoids selling it back to the grid at unfavorable rates.
With V2G systems, users can sell energy from the vehicle to the grid or receive excess energy at a connected charger. This is a new earning opportunity, particularly attractive with dynamic tariffs.
